Snuggle bug...
River is exhausted after a busy weekend and a day at daycare. She just wants to snuggle up with her stuffed toys and crash!

One full week in foster care... & doing great!
River has fit into life in her foster home like a glove. She sleeps perfectly at night, is getting the hang of the leash, and had a glowing review on her second day at daycare. Her social skills are advancing so quickly ... All it takes is a little bit of effort and a dog can excel right before your very eyes!
The resident dog, Rupert, definitely tolerates her puppy-ness, even wrestling with her and (reluctantly) sharing his toys ... But gives her a warning when he is tired and is done with playing. She understands when "enough is enough"!
She plays very nicely with her toys (although destroys the plush ones in minutes!) but is able to entertain herself quite well!
After her third daycare visit, the staff said she fits in perfectly! She is a happy, well-adjusted little girl with lots of love to give. She just needs to find her forever home, and she will be set!

First day of daycare!
River spent the day at Pawsitively Natural Dog Daycare this week ... and did great!
She is learning social skills with other dogs and how to control all that puppy excitement. She went on a pack walk and interacted with many different kinds of dogs. She is well on her way to becoming the best little puppy she can be!
After a full day of positive stimulation ... she was pooped! Slept for hours!

Meet River!
River, an 8 month old lab x, was found tied to a post on a busy freeway in Calgary, with a note saying "save me" and a box of toys. She was brought into the Calgary Humane Society, very distressed and struggling to cope. Soon she was taken into a foster home through Misty Creek Dog Rescue, and has been flourishing ever since!
River is an incredibly intelligent little girl. She picked up on tricks and proper manners within hours (perhaps with a little help from the resident dog!). River is house trained, doesn't jump, has no food aggression and is excellent in her kennel. For a puppy, she is amazing!
